Hanh Thong Tay Church is located at 53/7, Quang Trung Street, Ward 11, Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh in a gentle appearance, elegant with white, gray mainstream. This is a rare Byzantine architectural style, while most churches in Vietnam are designed in Gothique or Romanesque style. The peculiarity of the Byzantine architecture in the church is reflected through the unique hemispherical shaped dome tower at the end near the sanctuary. Above the dome is a small pyramid shaped pyramid to get light. The outside wall of the church is smooth slabs covered with edges, just decorated with patterns and simple reliefs made of plaster. Below the church bell tower is built of boulders, inside is a set of bells containing three different sounds. This bell set was made in 1925 by the famous French firm Paccard.

Different from the simple appearance, the interior of the church is splendidly decorated through elaborate and elaborate decoration. Prominent is the arched arc along the length of the church made of square reliefs. Along the two sides are columns with intricate patterns on the head. Between the columns also use the form of arch-shaped structure, hanging ceiling fans from the French period. Interspersed among the colorful stained-glass windows are golden gilded friezes depicting each of the hardships the Lord Giesu went through. Most especially, the three altars on the sanctuary are elaborately sculpted from Italian gold marble. The walls and ceilings are decorated with lots of mosaic tiles (in the Mosaic school). Most impressive is the fresco of Lord Giesu, who is resting alongside Mary and St. John in the arch of the sanctuary.

The church was built in 3 years (1921-1924) invested by Mr. Le Phat An for two contractors Baader and Lamorte of France. Mr. Le Phat An is the uncle of Queen Nam Phuong (the wife of King Bao Dai, the last emperor of the feudal court of Vietnam) and the son of Mr. Le Phat Dat, one of the four most famous landowners in the South. In front of each grave is a statue of two marble grandparents dressed in traditional dresses, kneeling and offering flowers sculpted extremely vividly by famous French architects A. Contenay and P. Ducuing. .
